Methodology
How we test & score products
Our process is designed for Indian household conditions — voltage, water quality, air quality, and climate vary enormously across India, and a product that works in Europe may fail in Mumbai or Rajasthan. Every review accounts for this.
Our process
Category research
We map every major product in a category, including new launches and older models still widely available on Amazon India. We study the manufacturer specs, certifications (BIS, ISI, CE), and technology differences before touching a single review.
Verified buyer analysis
We analyse thousands of verified buyer reviews, filtering for recurring themes — what breaks, what surprises, what actually matters day-to-day. This grounds our verdicts in real Indian household conditions, not ideal lab environments.
Scoring across criteria
Every product is scored across: build quality, value for money, performance, ease of setup, after-sales service reputation in India, and compatibility with Indian voltage/water/air conditions. Weights vary by category — TDS rejection matters more for a RO system than it does for a smart plug.
Verdict and recommendation
We write a clear verdict: who should buy this, who shouldn't, and which alternative to consider. We never rate a product we wouldn't recommend to a friend. If a product scores below 3.5 we don't list it — we note it in comparisons only where relevant.
Regular updates
We revisit every review when a new model launches, when Amazon India pricing shifts significantly, or when a pattern of buyer complaints emerges. The 'Last updated' date on each page reflects when the content was last meaningfully reviewed — not just a metadata touch.

Different product categories need different scoring weights. Here are the key factors we evaluate for each of our main coverage areas.
